The Wild Blue Sustainability Event at Swanage Beach
Free family focused events exploring the blue spaces within the Purbecks
Take part in hands on activities all about nature, from discovering hidden habitats to getting involved with water testing in the mini lab. Running across three weekends through August join in the fun at Swanage Beach by booking your spot below! Come and join us and discover the amazing ocean habitat right where you live! Each day we will be running 2 activity sessions focused on that week’s ocean theme.

The Purbeck’s Wild Blue
Date: Saturday 1st August
Location: Swanage Beach Front
This event is focused on the incredible marine habitats in the Purbeck’s both on shore and under the waves. Get stuck in with a shoreline survey, discover incredible ocean minibeasts and learn all about seahorses!
There will also be organised beach cleans and the Ocean Creation Station.

The Ocean in Motion
Date: Sunday 9th August
Location: Swanage Beach Front
Come along and discover the incredible world of tides, currents and chemistry! Get hands on in our mini lab to test the water, create your own sea defence and learn why the tide comes in and out.
There will also be organised beach cleans and the Ocean Creation Station.

Learn all about the ocean as a source of food, discover sustainable fishing methods, get stuck into food web fun and discover the amazing creature that live beneath the waves in the Purbeck’s.
