The Millfield Prep School Regatta 2024

Andrew Simpson Centre Portland was delighted to host the 6th instalment of the Millfield Prep School Regatta on May 15th, 2024.

Featuring 24 students across 12 RS Zest dinghy’s, teams from schools Millfield Prep, Leweston School and Sunninghill Prep School competed in four races comprising of three laps around the wind ward leeward course.

The kids are really really enjoying it, it’s a fantastic opportunity to get racing against other schools and other kids. We come down to the Andrew Simpson Centre every Wednesday afternoon, and it’s really nice for them to put all their learning into context and have some races.

Sunninghill Prep School were crowned the overall winner, with the team of Freddie Pank and William Hall winning three of the day’s races.

All attention now turns to next week’s IAPS Regatta, which will be held at our Portland centre across both Wednesday and Thursday on the 21st and 22nd of May.
