Hosting the 2025 Millfield Regatta at ASC Portland

ASC Portland was once again delighted to host a fantastic day of racing for this year’s instalment of the Millfield Regatta.

Five schools, 16 boats and 32 competitors took part in what was a well-spirited day of racing, in some gentle sailing conditions. The annually held Millfield Regatta proves to be a fantastic opportunity for school sailors to gain experience in sail racing, and the day of racing is a great training event ahead of the IAPS Regatta held the week later.

Sailors from Walhampton, Dumpton, Sunninghill, Clifton College, and hosts Millfield Prepatory School competed, and our staff were impressed with all the sailors’ competitive spirits, with no boats being forced to retire during the regatta.

Centre Manager for ASC Portland, Nathan Bloss, shared:

“It was brilliant to see how the sailors adapted to the conditions, and their comradery out on the water.

“We’re looking forward to seeing many of them return to the centre next week for the IAPS Regatta.”

Congratulations to the Walhampton team, who retained the trophy, with a full swoop of top three finishes.
