We are looking for senior instructors throughout the year, for up to 37.5hrs per week.
Our senior dinghy and windsurf Instructors lead watersports courses and activities at the centre, ensuring that all session delivery meets the RYA or Governing Body requirements of safe, fun and learning.
You will be involved in the management of the team of instructors, in liaison with the Chief Instructor. This includes advising instructors on their sessions and supporting their development alongside monitoring safety and quality standards of delivery. This means you will also be involved in the provision of a programme of staff training and CPD led by the Chief Instructor.
Our senior instructors work in a rota system with other senior members of staff to take charge of the centre and all operations throughout the working week, to include weekends and evenings.
As part of the role, you will support the Chief Instructor in the care, maintenance and storage of all resources and equipment ensuring all are well looked after. This includes supporting the system of repairs and the equipment inventory of the centre. Alongside this you will be to asked to support the chief instructor in the good management of budgets, new and innovative developments to increase bookings and improve the quality of what we offer.
You will maintain a good sales focus to individuals, schools and groups, and represent the Centre in a professional and friendly way. This means you may be asked to answer the phone where necessary, deal with customers queries and take bookings. You will be the face of the charity, representing the centre in a professional and friendly way.
