Activity overview
The RYA Safe and Fun course is an online safeguarding course designed for Dinghy and Windsurfing Instructors, Senior Instructors, and anyone else involved in working with children and vulnerable adults at an RYA club or recognised training centre.
This course introduces good safeguarding practice, helping you understand how to create a safe and supportive environment. You will learn how to recognise potential signs of abuse, how to respond appropriately, and who to refer concerns to if they arise. The course takes around three hours to complete and can be done at your own pace, making it a flexible and accessible option for busy schedules.
If you are training to become a newly qualified Dinghy Instructor, Windsurfing Instructor, or Senior Instructor, you must complete the Safe and Fun course before attending your instructor training.
