Activity overview
If you’ve completed your Start Windsurfing course and are ready to progress, this course is the perfect next step. The RYA Intermediate Windsurfing (Non-Planing) course builds on your core skills and helps you gain confidence sailing on all points of sail in stronger winds.
You’ll work on making your tacks and gybes faster and more controlled, while also learning new techniques such as beachstarting. By the end of the course, you’ll have the ability to handle more challenging conditions with improved precision and confidence on the water.

Prerequisites & course minimum requirements
Participants must have completed their RYA Start Windsurfing course before joining. We highly recommend gaining this qualification to ensure you have the core skills needed for a safe, enjoyable, and successful experience on the water.
RYA Start Windsurfing
Spend a weekend experiencing a gentle introduction into the sport, with the aim of being able to confidently stand on a board, sail where you want to go and turn around. No experience needed.
