New sailors introduced to watersports at ASC Reading 2024 Open Day

In partnership with Burghfield Sailing Club, the 2024 Reading Open Day on the 18th May saw over 200 people through the doors.

Sailing tasters and kayaking proved popular, with lots of people also trying windsurfing and windsurfing for the first time.

It was also great to welcome participants from Deaf Sailing UK, who are getting set for their upcoming 2024 World Championships in Lithuania – stay tuned for more on this!

ASC Reading is a family friendly RYA Training centre that attract sailors of all ages and abilities. Offering a range of courses for novices through to advanced, sailors can learn to sail with expert instructors. The centre has a close partnership with Burghfield Sailing Club, which has a thriving active club racing scene.

The Open Day would not have been possible without the amazing local community, volunteers and instructors! Thank you to everyone for such a great day on the water, introducing new people to our amazing sport.
