ASC Reading gets volunteer led makeover
Andrew Simpson Centre Reading was very grateful to have a team of 31 volunteers come down to the centre to deliver a much-needed face lift in July, with painting and gardening completed across the site.
Organised by Employee Volunteering, global healthcare company Sanofi provided 31 of their employees for a full day of decorating and support.
Nick Murphy, Sanofi’s Corporate Communications Lead, said:
“This is a great chance to give back to the local community and support a brilliant local organisation who are helping young people get into sport. It’s been a really fun day, and we’ve had the chance for team bonding, as well as meeting colleagues from across different teams who we don’t always see, and it’s really rewarding to give back.”
ASC Reading’s Centre Manager Charlie Whelan said:
“We’d love to say a big thank you to Employee Volunteering and Sanofi, for their time coming down, we really value their volunteering as it allows us to do things we wouldn’t have been able to do unsupported, and to dedicate more of our time to getting people out on the water.”
Once again we’d like to say a massive thank you to all from Sanofi that came down to volunteer, and to Employee Volunteering for coordinating the project.
