Here at the Andrew Simpson Foundation, you can imagine that we love everything to do with sailing!
If there is any hot news, we will be talking about it from when we walk into the office. You will hear our instructors talking about it as they set up for their day of work. We are always watching, listening and most of all talking about sailing.
With so many different aspects to the sailing experience, the question remains how do you keep up to date with the latest topics of conversations?
The answer is there are many ways to do it! But we find that podcasts are a great tool to learn about sailings rich history, understand our sailing stars stories and let’s be honest, it’s perfect for being a little bit self-indulgent.

Shirley Robertson has a monthly podcast where she sits down for “in depth and personal” conversations with big names from the sailing world. This is the ultimate podcast for anyone who wants to delve into the rich history of sailing celebrity.
Highlights include a conversation with ASF Founding trustee Iain Percy and a recent 2-part episode talking to british Olympic sailing stars as she discusses why Team GB has become such a dominant force in Olympic Sailing.
Folk Tales is a weekly podcast series by boatfolk. This podcast focuses on guests who have a shared passion for the water. This series looks at the “lives, experiences and stories” of some incredibly inspirational people, including our first ASF Youth Ambassador and record-breaker, Tim Long.
