Running across three weekends through August join in the fun at Swanage Beach by booking your spot below! Come and join us and discover the amazing ocean habitat right where you live! Each day we will be running 2 activity sessions focused on that week’s ocean theme. \nHighlights: \n\nHands on ocean science\nExciting nature-based activities for all ages\nOcean Creation Station\nOrganised Beach Cleans\nSomething for the whole family to get involved with\n\nThe Purbeck’s Wild Blue\nDate: Saturday 1st August\nLocation: Swanage Beach Front\nThis event is focused on the incredible marine habitats in the Purbeck’s both on shore and under the waves. Get stuck in with a shoreline survey\, discover incredible ocean minibeasts and learn all about seahorses! \nThere will also be organised beach cleans and the Ocean Creation Station. \nThe Ocean in Motion\nDate: Sunday 9th August\nLocation: Swanage Beach Front\nCome along and discover the incredible world of tides\, currents and chemistry! Get hands on in our mini lab to test the water\, create your own sea defence and learn why the tide comes in and out.\nThere will also be organised beach cleans and the Ocean Creation Station. \nFrom the Sea\nDate: Sunday 16th August\nLocation: Swanage Beach Front\nLearn all about the ocean as a source of food\, discover sustainable fishing methods\, get stuck into food web fun and discover the amazing creature that live beneath the waves in the Purbeck’s. \nThere will also be organised beach cleans and the Ocean Creation Station. \nWe’re here to help \n \n\nOur Portland Centre team are on hand to help with your booking and answer any questions you may have.
